MBO College Hilversum, part of ROC Amsterdam, has extended its long-term lease of Studio 6 at the Media Park, and expanded it with additional classrooms and support facilities. This fits with the MBO College’s strategy of physical proximity to the media companies located in the largest testing ground for media professionals in the Netherlands.

Jeroen Ankersmit (Chairman of the Board of MBO College Hilversum): ‘The Media Park is the largest media classroom in the Netherlands. Our cooperation with the various companies at the  Media Park is a great added value for our students, and the companies are likewise enthusiastic. They give guest lectures, are present at exams, and provide working materials.’

Mark Achterberg (COO Media Park Management): ‘In the Medialab in Studio 6, students work in an authentic work environment every day. Here, they can gain practical experience while experimenting in the creation of new formats and the production of new media. New media professionals are being prepared for the media of tomorrow, and, thanks to short-lines of communication, all the companies on the Media Park can make use of this.’

The Media Park in Hilversum offers space for both traditional and new media. Startups work side-by-side with well-known media companies and major broadcasters. About 6,000 people work at the park. Media Park Enterprise (MPE) is a project of Europa Fund II. Europa Fund II is managed by Europa Capital, an established real estate fund operating from offices throughout Europe. Europa Capital is part of the Rockefeller Group (RGI). Europa Capital Partners and Europa Capital are supervised by the Financial Services Authority.
